Highlights from the Day One Keynote:
- Our Chief Software Architect Ray Ozzie took the stage to share his vision of the connected mesh of users, their Web, rich clients and mobile devices.
- We made several announcements on our newest Web tools and technologies, including the release of Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1, Silverlight 2 Beta, Expression Studio 2 Beta and a preview of SQL Server Data Services (SSDS).
- Scott Guthrie discussed advances in Silverlight and Expression Studio that further bridge the developer / designer workflows, making it even easier to deliver better Web experiences.
- Dean Hachamovitch, demonstrated Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1, highlighting new features and functionality with partners like EBay and Facebook.
- Customers and partners took part in the keynote as well; AOL, Aston Martin, Cirque du Soleil, DoubleClick, Hard Rock, Move Networks and NBC Olympics on MSN.
