Seems to be. last month, I posted "More on the New Zune", describing the early release news of the next-generation Zune.
The Zune team outdid themselves with last week's launch of the product, going so far as to add some pretty exciting (and downright artistic) features to the new Zunes: The Zune Arts program.
We partnered with artists around the world to launch the Zune Originals online service. The service lets you customize the device of your choice with laser-etched artwork from a library by some incredible artists. Not feeling artsy? You can write your own text dedication instead. Artwork and text work is shipped directly from the factory to you.
The team didn't stop there. They updated the Windows Client experience to simplify the discovery of new content and the means to put it onto your device. The new interface is easy-to-use, looks very classy and has great features like integrated search, artist sync, simplified ratings and more.
Those of us who own the first-generation devices can enjoy the updated Windows Client experience thanks to a firmware upgrade for our device that enables many of the new features. I was prompted for the update as soon as I plugged my device in to charge it, and the update was quite painless.
