A Bright Spot in Your Night Sky

Well, here in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway.  You'll find it just to the left of Perseus.  Yes. That Perseus.  The one who slew Medusa.

Well, his star-struck cousin, anyway.  Okay. The constellation.

The Comet Holmes has brightened a million times it's original brightness and is visible to the naked eye.

First bright viewing was four days ago, and the comet is still there, moving westward in the constellation.

Thanks to fellow evangelisto, Jeremy Cath for point me to Sky and Telescope: "Comet Holmes Beckons Skygazers Worldwide".

It's showing a tail, according to MSNBC: "Dazzling comet has hint of invisible tail".
