A double-linking blog is one that links to itself. This blog is one, for example: now and again, I refer to an earlier post.
There's talk in the blogosphere at the moment that this practice just isn't kosher. Is this justified or not?
First of all, is "what" justified? A blog that links to itself or the criticism in the 'sphere over it?
We all get that the practice is intended to increase pageviews for online advertising. As I don't feature online advertising, this is not why I do it.
I've accumulated a decent body of work since 2005, so why wouldn't I post a self-reference, where appropriate? Why explain the same details on a particular topic if I've already covered it?
So, why the flap? In the 'sphere:
Robert Scoble posts "Bloggers “double linking?”", pointing me to a Louis Gray post: "Internal Linking On Some Tech Blogs Is Out of Control".
