What's been going on lately? I mean, besides Silverlight, that is?

While it may seem that Microsoft has been in a Silverlight-induced haze, there is still much going on with other technologies in the House that Bill (and 65,000 of his best friends) built.

Fellow evangelisto Tim Sneath just circled back around to .NET 3.5, including how Visual Studio 2008 will have significantly better support for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) in: "What's New in WPF 3.5? Here's Fifteen Cool Features...".
Speaking of VS 2008, ScottGu posts "VS 2008 and .NET 3.5 Beta 2 Released" and "Nice VS 2008 Code Editing Improvements".
We're working with the Open Source Initiative (OSI) seeking approval for Shared Source licenses. eWeek: "Microsoft to Submit Licenses for OSI Approval".
On that front, we launched the Open Source at Microsoft site, complete with community and RSS feed.
We're looking for one billion Windows installations (although dates vary by article). MicrosoftWatch: "Ballmer: 1 Billion Windows Served" and eWeek: "Microsoft: Expect 1 Billion Windows PCs by 2010".
Popfly is getting well-deserved press. It's pretty cool to boot. On10 posts: "Microsoft Popfly". Think it's as cool as I do? Write me and I'll see if I can wrangle you an invite.
