I saw this article and found it HYSTARICAL!! As a former cheer coach and substitute teacher, I'm well aware that kids use cell phones when they shouldn't. In the high school I worked for, the best place to get reception was the bathroom...go figure...making it easy for students to use phones during class. Anyhow, kids have been aware of vibrate mode and the plain and simple shutting ringers off mode since cell phones began. Why this "anti-adult" ringer is a cause for sudden concern is beyond me but I do find it funny that this "huge issue" is being brought to light:-)

I am 25 and I played it for my 5 yr old and 2 yr old and they can hear it well. They covered there ears and said that hurts and they were going crazy. I can just hear a soft long buzz and that's it.

okay so people this isnt some magical ringtone that only kids can hear...
most adults can't hear it because as you get older you can't hear some of the higher frequencies.. but not always. its usually people over thirty that can't hear it, but some people have excelent hearing and still can...
soo might wanna make sure for sure that your teacher can't hear it before you tur it on in class

I found out how to get the ringtone (.Mp3 format) on your phone, you have to go to your phone suppliers company's store, and get a usb cable that plugs into your phone, anyways, i played it for my dad, he only heard the click, so if you get one get it without the clicks, he heard it once he was about 2cm to 1in away. They are so funny though. my mom could hear it clearly. Go to ultimate-ringtones.com and see which frequency you can hear 8-21.1 kHz
