How the hell did Anna Nicole Smith find herself at the Supreme Court?
Of course; the result of a May-December romance.
USAToday: “Supreme Court hears Anna Nicole Smith's case”
The Court must have better things to do.

WOW...maybe soon we will see a reality series about fighting for your right to 88 million dollars. It could be coupled with a reality series on frivolous lawsuits...people suing for not realizing coffee is hot and whatnot. Just what we need...more reality shows and ridiculous court cases and lawsuits:-)
Actually, the court is ruling on the concept of Federalism and the extending the Federal Governmental Arm into the business of states. Because I know the topic is confusing, I will give you a quick rundown . . . . Old Man Marshall left Anna nothing in his will. Texas probate court upheld the will all the $$$ went to the son (which is good for him because he is ugly and . . . nevermind, I digressed) At the same time Anna filed Bankruptcy in LA. Because her prior marital worth had taxes attached, her income from her husbands estate came into play. LA courts decided that the stepson had manipulated the will to keep the $$$, and awarded her the $88. *** In fact 3 pages of the will had been forged by the son*** so ACK, 2 rulings in 3 states! There were a bunch of California appeals - Anna says she was contesting the son's behavior and NOT the will. Apparently she was promised a trust fund (I love those) and feels he swindled her out of it. Here is the CRUX: Did the California bankruptcy court ignore the traditional, 200-year-old rule that prohibits federal courts from interfering in inherently local matters such as divorces and wills?!? Also: Does Texas have the right to declare all Trusts go through Probate? The Bush Regime has sided with California because it wanted to maximize the ability to tax everyone for everything anywhere. *Whew, just thinking about it hurts my head!
I know, I know . . . I should drop it. But I wanted to let you know, she WON! Maybe it is not soo frivolous after all?
