Chris Capossela did some killer demos during the keynote today. He rocked the room. Quick hits and messages:
Internet Explorer 7
- Tabbed interface. v.cool; much easier than a ton of open windows.
- Quick search that uses MSN search.
- Quick tabs (single mouse click); gives us a view of all our tabs, allowing us to select into or close down specific tabs.
- Tab groups can be saved as a set of tabs and added to favorites.
- Improved printing experience, including shrink-to-fit and header / footer removal. This drew cheers from the audience.
- Discovers RSS feeds and provides a drop down.
- RSS feeds are shown as human-readable headlines, rather than raw feed format.
- Anti-phishing; IE7 has advanced heuristics to determine site behaviors and notifies the user.
- User / community reporting of suspected phishing sites. Live maintenance of these reports.
